Graduation
Mood:  caffeinated

We had snow last night. It's rare to have snow here, so the media described it was a heavy snow even tho snow covered just 2cm high from the ground. I'm sure if we had a snow storm which is bigger than this here, the whole city would run into huge panic especially people who use trains and subways. Anyways...

I will finally graduate from my college on 16th. I have been waiting for the day for a long time since I met my fiance T.C.. We have been keeping this long distance relationship from summer 2001(We were living together fall2002-summer2003 tho). He used to live in New England/the U.S. until spring2004, so it was hard because of the time difference(Japan is 13-14 hours ahead). But he is now living in Seoul/Korea, we are in the same timezone. We are planning to live together from next fall in Seoul.. I can't wait:-)

My First Entry
Mood:  happy
Topic: days
Hi everyone, I finally created my blog space. One of my new year's resolutions was to brush up my English language skill. 2 months have already passed without putting it into action since then! Even though I use English at work to some extent, the writing skill doesn't improve unless I make an effort toward it. So, I decided to keep my journal in English from today. There must be lots of language mistakes, but it should have some good effect on my life to have a time to think and write in English.(I hope so!hehe:-p) I feel like the part of my brain which operates my Japanese language is different from the part that contains my English knowledge. I mean it's like there are 2 separate language rooms in my brain;Japanese brain and English brain. While my Japanese brain is working, it's pretty hard to recall English lexis I need to express. However, once I get English brain by some chance,I feel very comfortable to express my feelings in English. If I can switch Japanese brain and English brain back and forth easily, it's the best!! I guess that is a "Bilingual person". Actually I wrote a graduation thesis on Childhood Bilingualism "Bilingualism in Children:Strategy Theories and the Family". During the time I was working on that, I often got English brain and became English mode. I hope I can write about my thesis here sometime. I guess I should go to bed now. It's my day off tomorrow. yay!
